Betty June Case was born July 3rd, 1926 in Hanna Wyoming. Her parents were James Case and Gertrude Woosley. [1][2]
She was married 2 or 3 times. While living with Keith Lamb in Buckboard, Wyoming they grew fields of alfalfa. They had a large outdoor table and the woman would cook all day and feed all the farmers at the large table. They played music and ate great home-cooked meals. Betty June Case Lamb Teters, 87, of Rock Springs died April 3 at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston.
She was born July 3, 1926, in Hanna, the daughter of James Buckhanna* (Buchannon) and Gertrude Shrildia Woolsey Case and was the youngest of seven children.
She entered the first grade in Hanna Public Schools on Oct. 2, 1933 and entered Washington School in Rock Springs on Oct. 14, 1935.
She married Keith Lamb, and they had four children, three boys and one girl: James Ray, Perry, Rebecca Faye and Robert. She lived on a ranch and knew the hard work involved with that style of living. They later divorced. She married Jack Teters Feb. 2, 1968.
Jack and Betty owned and operated the Hidden Corners Ceramic Shop in Rock Springs for eight years.
She served on the board of directors for eight years at Young at Heart Senior Center. Betty was a member of Rebbeca Lodge, Eagles Auxiliary, Ladies VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Her interests included painting, ceramics, plastic canvas and word puzzles.
Survivors include sons, James and wife Linda of Whitefield, Okla., Perry Lamb, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, several nieces and nephews.
Her husband Jack preceded her in death Aug. 10, 2003. He had three grown children: Marilyn Lee, who passed away on Dec. 2, 2011, and her husband Dick Lee of Rock Springs; Chuck and wife Bonnie Teters of Rock Springs and Robert Teters of Fayetteville, Ark.
She was also preceded in death by two children; Robert and Rebecca; five brothers, Marvin, Bill, Frank, Roy and Donald Case; and one sister, Lucy Thomas.
