Biography

Samuel was born in SC about 1781 (or GA in 1793). He was the son of Randolph Casey.

The Casey family moved to Tennesssee in 1800, first to Sumner Co, then a couple of years later to Smith Co (now Mercer)

He married Ruth Gilbert, probably in Tennessee, probably around 1805.

Samuel's father died there in 1814. He left most of his children $2 in his will[1]

In 1820 he was in Smith Co, TN near his brother, Hiram.
