Hartwell B. Cason was born on 20 Feb 1819 in Harrison County, Kentucky, United States, son of Nelson Cason and Elizabeth (Grubbs) Cason.
Hartwell married Lucinda Lavina Marr on 4 Jan 1843 in Harrison Co. KY. Their daughter was Fannie Frances (Cason) Berry.
Hartwell died on 19 Aug 1885 in Harrison County aged 66.
