Yelles, also called Julius, came to America with his brother John on October 16th 1727 on the ship Friendship. Yellis was also the brother of Hupert Cassel who had come to America earlier. [1][2]
After Yelles' arrival he settled in Skippack (then called Bebberstown), Pennsylvania where he lived with his brother Hupert who divided his farm with him.
He married Anna Moyer or Meyer. He and Anna are the parents of children, including the following:
Mary Cassel, born 1717, married Jacob Landes (1710-1793)
Elizabeth Cassel, born 1719, married Henrich Kolb (1721-1783)

Hupert Cassel,
Joseph Cassel,
Barbara Cassel, married Christian Funk
John Cassel, born 1730, married Catharine Elizabeth Johnson (1740 - 1793)
Catherine Cassel, born 1734, married John Bean (1722-1800)
Isaac Cassel, born August 21, 1746, married Barbara Reiff Detweiler (1747 - 1801)
Yellis died in 1750 and is buried at the Lower Skippack Mennonite Cemetery. [3]
