I have added you as co-Profile Manager of Elijah Barnes your great-grandfather. We can do this but by your severing the link I am having trouble. Give me the old line that showed Elijah going back to Brinsley & I can help, FORGET what you find in Find A Grave. We are SURE he was born in 1852. The 1860 & as a last resort 1870 Census is what is our proof. We have NO IDEA where probable father Jehu Edgar was or if he was living in 1852 - 1860/1870. The fact that at one point he was in a Headley household is important. Look for family members who married or were related to a Headley. If found look at the census image, not the text and see who lived nearby - Jehu may have become an orphan and was taken in by an extended family member. Some deletion like Elizabeth Parks & husband another Jehu will probably have to be restored. We can do in time after sourcing and review.
I am in a hurry but will be back. I saw what you did in creating William son of Elijah. That is good sourcing. Carefully examine children of Elijah and Elijah himself. Open the change tab and moved to the bottom. Many say created by unlisted. Move your cursor over unlisted. If the name Swinney appears it was created by a person whose Wikitree account was terminated for entering bad or unsourced information. Check them out. I will see your progress in the daily feed and check and if needed comment or help. Keep up the good work.
