Biography

John Cate was born in Barrington, New Hampshire on June 14, 1741. He was son of William Cate and Elizabeth (Cotton) Cate. [1]

John Cate, son of Capt. William Cate, was married to Mary Garland, daughter of John Garland, October the 175h 1762 in Barrington. [2] The State Records say they were married Oct 11, 1762. [3] <

He died in Greenland, New Hampshire on March 10, 1815. [4]
