The sons of Robert Catlett were named in the will of his brother Peter Catlett, first dated the 22nd of September, 1785, with a codicil dated the 1st of April, 1787. This will was proved the 6th of April 1791 in Frederick County, Virginia. It was again recorded in Union County, Kentucky Will Book A, pp. 242-244 on the 19th November, 1827.[1] Peter Catlett's will named and provided for the following sons of his brother Robert Catlett:
Henry Catlett, to receive Peter's plantation in Frederick Co. after widow's death
John Catlett, to receive Peter's plantation in forks of Shenandoah, and to pay his following five brothers each twenty-five pounds current money.
