Frances was the daughter of Digby Cayley and Elizabeth Robinson. She was born on 26 October 1777 and baotised the same day at Thormanby, Yorkshire.[1][2]
On 28 October 1808 Frances married Thomas Smith of Scarbrough, Yorkshire at Brompton by Sawdon, Yorkshire.[3] He was a doctor.[4]
