Arthur was baptised at All Saints, Stamford, Lincolnshire on 3 February 1867.[1] His birth was registered in Stamford in the 1st quarter of 1867.[2]
The 1871 census lists Arthur, age 4, at Stamford, Lincolnshire.[3]
In December 1886 he passed the exam for a cadetship at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst.[4] On 11 February 1888 he was appointed a lieutenant in the West Yorkshire Regiment.[5] He died serving in Landour, India on 17 May 1892 and was buried there the next day.[6]
