Ann Hall was born on July 20, 1783 and baptised on August 3, 1783 at St. Matthew's, Bethnal Green, London, England.[1] She was the eldest child of Thomas Cecil and Sarah Waterlow. She had four younger brothers and four younger sisters.
On October 3, 1801 Ann married Thomas Clinton Hall at St. John's, Hackney, London.[2] They were both weavers. Ann is still listed as a silk weaver on the 1841 census,[3] where her age is given as 60, though in fact she was only 57 (ages for this census were usually rounded up to the next '5' or '0', though Ann's daughter, also Ann Hall is listed as being 33 and is also a silk weaver. They were living at 49 Sclater Street which is now in Shoreditch but borders Bethnal Green.
She was buried at St. Matthew's Bethnal Green, London on March 19, 1846 and her age is given correctly as 62.[5]
At the time of her death Ann was living at Mape Street, Bethnal Green, London.
