Biography

Rainey was born in August of 1872 at Huntsville in Scott County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of James Chambers and Rebeca Ann ( Jeffers ) Chambers. She married Mountville Jeffers on April 8, 1889 in Scott County, they later divorced. Rainey then married John Mitchell Cook on March 12, 1895 at Huntsville, they to later divorced she then married Thomas Alexander Hughett on April 27, 1904 at Huntsville. The 1910 census stated Rainey had been married three times.
