Biography
Ambrose Chandler was born May 12, 1804 in North Carolina.
He married Jerusha White in Franklin County, Georgia on May 3, 1827.[1][2]
He appeared on the 1840 Census for Franklin County, Georgia. In his household were:1 male under 5 years old, 2 males between 5 and 10 years old, 1 male between 10 and 15 years old, 1 male between 30 and 40 (Ambrose Chandler), 1 female under 5 years old, 1 female between 5 and 10 years old, 1 female between 10 and 15, 1 female between 30 and 40 years old (Jerusha Chandler).[3]
On the 1850 Census, he was listed as a 45 year old male living in Carroll County, Georgia with his wife, Jerusha, and children. He was a farmer, and the value of his real estate was $150. His birthplace was listed as North Carolina. [4]
He died on April 9, 1868 in Carroll County, Georgia.
