Biography

Winnie May was born in 1876 in Grand Blanc, Michigan to George and Mary Chapel. She lived with her parents for many years.[1][2][3] She finished her degree from Michigan State Normal School in 1892 and earned a MSNC in 1898.[4] She taught for a long time in Minnesota.[5][6]Like her sisters Avis and Rosa, she was a dedicated educator who never married.[7][8]
