There is a record in the 1901 Census of Canada for Pierre Chartier lists him as 51, born on Aug 10, 1949. (These facts are almost exact.) He has a daughter named Florence and a wife named Ledie-- which makes this an improbable match, since there is a record of Pierre- Samuel marrying Rose-Anne in 1877 and his living with her and their children in 1911.

The 1911 Census of Canada for Samuel Robert lists him as 61, living along with his wife Rose-Anne (56), and five older children, Robert Robert (24), Zepèrine Robert (23), Robertine Robert (21), Floribert Robert (19), and Antoinette Robert (14). He would die a year later, the same year as his wife.
