Biography

Edna Chastain was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Bentley, Conway County, Arkansas for the January 20, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1917 in Arkansas and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Henry M Chastain, wife Hattie Chastain, daughter Bertha B Chastain, son Lois L Chastain, daughter Nellie Chastain and daughter Flora M Chastain.^[1]

Edna Chastain was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Union, Saline County, Arkansas for the April 14, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1917 in Arkansas and single. She was a laborer (farm) as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Henry Chastain, wife Hattie Chastain, daughter Nellie Chastain, daughter Flora M Chastain, daughter Freda Chastain and son Lars [Lois] Chastain.^[2]

Edna Taylor was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Walnut Ridge Road, Owensville, Dyer Township, Saline County, Arkansas for the April 27, United States Census, 1940. She was noted as born 1919 in Arkansas and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Virgil Taylor, daughter Betty Taylor, daughter Patsy Taylor and son Rogie Taylor.^[3]

Mrs. Edna Max Taylor was listed as the person listed that "Will always know your address" when her husband John Virgil Taylor registered for active duty as shown in this 1942 Arkansas First Draft Registration Card. Their address was Route 2, Benton, Saline County, Arkansas as seen in this image of the original form.^[4]

Edna Chastain Taylor is buried at Fowler Cemetery in Paron, Saline County, Arkansas.^[5]
