Nellie Chastain was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Bentley, Conway County, Arkansas for the January 20, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1914 in Arkansas and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Henry M Chastain, wife Hattie Chastain, daughter Bertha B Chastain, son Lois L Chastain, daughter Edna Chastain and daughter Flora M Chastain.^[1]

Nellie Chastain was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Union, Saline County, Arkansas for the April 14, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1914 in Arkansas and single. She was a laborer (farm) as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Henry Chastain, wife Hattie Chastain, daughter Edna Chastain, daughter Flora M Chastain, daughter Freda Chastain and son Lars [Lois] Chastain.^[2]
