Biography

James C. Cheatham, Jr. was a farmer. He married Rebecca A. Crews and they had five children: William A. Cheatham, Sarah (who married Albert C. Parham), James Theodore Cheatham, Mary Eliza Cheatham and David Thomas Cheatham).

He is said to have died of a broken heart as a result of the war.
