In the 1841 census Joseph and Anna were living in Timsbury with seven children and his brother James.[3]
Joseph was a coal miner all his life.
In 1851 Joseph and Anna were living in Northfield in the Parish of Timsbury with six children and his brother James.[4]
By 1861 the couple were still living in Northfield, with daughter Rosanna, brother James and William Gay, son in law, daughter Sarah and grandson William.[5]
Joseph died in 1865 and was buried on 26 Sep 1865 in Timsbury, St Mary's Parish Church.[6]
