Klaassen, Pietertje's patronymic, is the "surname" that first appears in church records for her, at the baptism of her daughter Maritje. Quackenbush-118 23:45, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
Klaassen-213 and Van Schouw-6 appear to represent the same person because: Although Klaasen-213 is a much more complete profile, Van Schouw-6 is clearly a duplicate. Please merge.
corrected date, date now is abt the exact birth/baptism date of daughter, needs more sources to determine if and what's correct, so added needs Church Records to template
Of course we have been investigating this already and we of course could have adjusted the Birthdate already, but that's why I first added them as unmerged match, to make sure no mistakes were made or if maybe someone else knew a Pieterje Wykoff, with this baptism/birth date (so if maybe she belonged to different parents). Because I looked at all genealogies and info I could find about this family and this was the only Pieterje Wyckoff matching this one. (except for the date)
This profile is from a Gedcom import, because a lot of parents were already present and skipped before/during the import a lot of children were seperated and became floaters and we had to connect them all to the correct parents.
Pieterje Wyckoff married Symon Jansz Van Arsdalen ...now as explained (Bio and post for merge) there is also a Simon Cornelise Wyckoff and the baptims date this Pieterje has match his date of Birth-Baptism exactly. So my guess is this was just a mix up because of the similar names . And one way or the other it's a duplicate, either for Simon or Pieterje, so she (or he) has to be merged with one of them.
Pietertje was probably named after her maternal grandmother, Pietertje Jacobs, yesterday I found the marriage record for Metje Harperts and Claes Corneliss , so still researching the family ... ;)
Wyckoff-723 and Van Schouw-2 appear to represent the same person because:
@Paul,
We have studied the date see the merge proposal , it's the baptism date of Simon Wyckoff, so the dates (of Pieterje and Simon) were just mixed up (she married a Symon so maybe that caused the mix up when the tree was created and later imported ?) , the profile manager also agreed on the merge and either way, so if it's Simon or Pieterje, it's a duplicate that needs to be merged . Hope this explains it ?
Thanks and greets ,
Bea
ps: Also found and added some records for the parents, found the parents for mother as well :)
Wyckoff-723 and Van Schouw-2 are not ready to be merged because: I also believe the Date of Birth discrepancy needs to be studied and resolved before proceeding;
A mother's death date should not be before one of her children's birth dates.
