George William Clark was born 15 September 1877 to Harrison Clark and Mary Jane Wantland in Taylor Township, Indiana.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

His mother passed away in 1880, when George was only three years old, and his father remarried. George would later tell his family that he did not get along with his step-mother.[9]

George married Ella Vallie in February 1907 in Springfield, Missouri, where Ella's parents lived.[10][11]

George married Maude Ella Mayes around 1904-1907. They had no children.[1][2][3] Maude died on October 25, 1930.

Between 1920 and 1930, a child named Lucille Amick came to live with George and Maude.[12]

George married Esther 'Dalhart' on 15 April 1932 in Meeker, Colorado.[13][14] Miriam Caroline, Esther's daughter, was 2 years old. They had seven children.[4][5]

George died on 28, January 1949 in Meeker, Colorado due to complications from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was 70 years old. He is buried at Highland Cemetery, Meeker, Colorado.[15]

World War I

George registered for the draft on 12 September 1917. His registration card states he is tall with a medium build, grey eyes and light hair. It does not appear that he served during WWI.[16][17]

World War II

George registered for the draft on 27 April 1942. It does not appear that he served during WWII.[18]
