Biography
Ev (Clark) Sweetman was born in Wales.
Ev (Clark) Sweetman migrated from Wales to United States.
Eveline was born on 6 Jun 1891 in Mountain Ash, Glamorgan, Wales to William Henry Clark and Mary Ann Bird.[1]
She was counted in the 1911 British Census living with her family in Pucklechurch, Gloucestershire, England.[2]
On 16 Jun 1925 she married Frank P Sweetman in Coalpit Heath, Gloucestershire, England.[3] They had only one child Alvin Sweetman born on March 18th 1927 in Ram Hill, Gloucestershire, England.[4]who was killed in an explosion on October 9th, 1962 at Dow Chemical Co. in Midland Michigan.
On October 30, 1937 she and her son Alvin (who was both a British and American by birth)[5] emigrated from Southampton England for New York aboard the RMS Britannic. Their final destination was Bay City, Michigan where they met up with her husband [Sweetman-127|Frank P Sweetman]].
Frank, Eveline, and their son moved to Midland, Michigan before 1940 and were counted in the 1940 census at their home.[6]
Eveline died in Miesenbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany on 9 May 1986 at the age of 94. She was creamated and her ashes were transported to the family grave in Coal Pit Heath, England[7]
