Biography

Theodore is the fourth son of Nancy Hancock. He shares a mother with his brother Henry and his half-brothers James and Jasper. Theodore (or "Berge" as he was commonly called) was living in Union, Ohio at the time of the 1900 Census, with his first wife Amanda, his three children, and his mother. In the 1910 Census, he was still in Union but now with his second wife Rosa, son Harry, step-son Franklin, mother Nancy Ann (who would die a few weeks after the census), and father-in-law William Legg. By the 1920 Census, they had moved to Harrison, Ohio; now it was Berge, Rosa, Harry, and Franklin.
