Mr. Patrick Clark, road supervisor of the Midland Division of the B. & O. passed quietly away Sunday evening at 5:00 o'clock, at his home in West Paint street, aged 62 years. Although Mr. Clark had been in poor health for some time, he had been able to continue his work until Friday night, when he finally gave up. His death following so soon came as a severe shock to his family and many friends.
Mr. Clark was a sterling type of man, extremely popular with the associates of his division, as well as a large acquaintance.
He moved his family, to which he was deeply devoted, here from Athens two years ago, and a year later the happy home circle was sadly broken by the death of the mother. The seven children surviving gave to the father the most affectionate care and were all with him at the end. There are two daughters, Margaret, who is organist at St. Colmans' church and Mary C., and five sons, John P., of Chillicothe; James P., Dennis F., Louis W., and Thomas C.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 o'clock at St. Colman's Church and burial made in St. Colman's Wednesday morning and burial will be made in St. Colman's Cemetery.
