Biography

He enlisted at Albemarle in 1861 and was a pvt in the 28th NC, Company D Stanly Yankee Hunters.

Have a copy of James' Confederate service record stating he was killed at Battle of Frayser's Farm/Seven Pines, VA, on June 30th, 1862. Rank: PVT.

Brother Nelson stated James died in Battle of Seven Pines
