John Clements was born in Clogher, County Tyrone, Ireland in about 1822, son of Joseph and Catherine.[1]

He arrived in NSW on 16 Aug 1841 at the age of 19 on the Ship Pearl from Cloghes, County Tyrone, Ireland. He was a farm labourer. [2]

He married Isabella Williamson in 1856 in Carcoar, NSW, Australia.[3]

He owned a publican licence for the Farmer's Hotel in Carcoar from 1865 until his death when Isabella took over the lease.[4][5][6]

He died on 20 Apr 1875 at Carcoar, New South Wales, Australia[7] Note: According to New South Wales Births Deaths and Marriages, he died on 20 Apr 1873. I think this must be a transcription error.[8]

When the administration of John's estate, while living in Blayney, Isabella was able to lodge a caveat on 23 Nov 1876. This was made up of 43 acres 2 roods, 40 acres and 50 acres 2 roods, portions 8, 10 and 190.[9][10] Isabella was able to to lodge a caveat on 11 Oct 1877 on for more of the estate for 40 acres, 2 roods, portion 9. [11][12]
