1850 census shows William Clevinger 57y (born in VA) as head of household located in Monroe, Pickaway, Ohio. Wife Ruth 55y (born in VA), daughter Elizabeth 23y, son William 21y, daughter Matilda 19y (twin), son John 19y (twin?), daughter Sonna 15y, daughter Emily 13y. Living next door is older son Joseph his wife, and 2 young children.[1]
1850 census also shows living in the adjacent farm are Joseph Clevinger 27y, wife Elizabeth 27y, son John W 4y, son Josiah 2y. Presumably Joseph is an older son of William.
1860 census shows William Clevinger 66y (born in VA) as head of household. Also living in the household are Nancy Clevinger 27y (born in VA), George Clevinger under 1 year and William Fisher, 6y.
