John Cochran, son of Freeman Cochran and Mary Dougherty was born on June 3, 1888 in Bethel, Anoka, Minnesota.[1] His mother died when John was but 3 years old. in 1892. At age 11, he was in his Uncle William Daugherty's home in Bethel, Anoka, Minnesota, where he was attending School[2]
He married Agnes C Hansen (1895-1968) on January 3, 1918 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota.[3] They had 4 children.
He served in WWI from April 29, 1918 to January 14, 1919.[5]
John was a Laborer in a Brick yard in Fridley, Anoka, Minnesota in 1920, with Agnes, taking care of the home and baby son Leonard-3 months old.[6]
They lived in Fridley, Anoka, Minnesota in 1930, where John was a Pole Peeler for a Tie and Treating Co. and Agnes was taking care of the home and children, Leonard-10, Robet-8, Marjorie-7 and Melvin-4.[7]
He passed away at the age of 81, on December 17, 1969 in Anoka, Minnesota, and was buried in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.[1]
