Marriage : He married Arey Fowler in Kentucky, on 18 Apr 1805.[2][3]
The family moved to Illinois before 1820.
1850 : In McDonough, Illinois : Jacob Coffman, farmer (age 70, b. VA) with (presumed) wife Evry (age 60, b. MD). Household next door is occupied by the family of Alferd Coffman (age 27, b. IL) who is presumed to be a son.[1]
Death : He died on 26 Mar 1852, and is buried in the Hillsborough Cemetery, Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois.[4]
Research Notes
The Findagrave entry records that Jacob was born in Germany, but provides no source, and is assumed to be in error since it conflicts with the 1850 census record.
