Amanda was born on 15 February 1845 in Braxton, West Virginia, USA. She was the daughter of William J. (Coger) Cogar Jr and Mary Martha Eva (Bender) Cogar.[1]

In the 1850 census Amanda (age 5) was living in District 4, Braxton, Virginia, USA.[1]

In the 1860 census Amanda (age 15) was living in Webster, Virginia, USA.[2]

In the 1870 census Amanda (age 25) was living in Holly, Webster, West Virginia, United States.[3]

In the 1880 census Amanda (age 35) was living in Holly, Webster, West Virginia, USA. Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Wife.[4]

In the 1910 census Amanda (age 65) was living in Otter, Braxton, West Virginia, USA. Marital Status: Widowed; Relation to Head of House: Mother-in-law.[5]

In the 1920 census Amanda (age 74) was living in Glade, Webster, West Virginia, USA. Marital Status: Divorced; Relation to Head of House: Mother-in-law.[6]

Amanda died at the age of 83 on 5 August 1928 in Fenwick, Nicholas, West Virginia, USA and was buried in United States.[7]
