Biography

Hannah Cogswell was born in the Chebacco Parish community of Ipswich, Essex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay on 27 Mar 1693. She was the daughter of John Cogswell, Jr. and Hannah Goodhue.[1]

Hannah married Thomas Burnam, Jr., on 22 Nov 1712, at the Chebacco Parish Church in Ipswich, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[2]

Hannah's second husband was Capt. Thomas Choate, whom she married at the Chebacco Parish Church in Ipswich on 9 Nov 1743.[3]

Hannah (Cogswell) Burnham Choate died at the age of 89 (in her 90th year), on 2 Oct 1782, in Ipswich.[4]

Cogswell-89 and Cogswell-560 appear to represent the same person because: She was married and widowed and remarried.

On the 9th of November that same year, he married for a third time, the Ipswich resident widow Mrs Hannah (Cogswell) Burnham 1693-1782, who was 50 that year and also well past birthing any children.
