Abigail Cole was born on 17 Dec 1797 in Liverpool, Queens Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. She is a direct descendant of Mayflower passenger Steven Hopkins via her mother, Elizabeth (Tupper) Cole. She was one of the last children born to her parents, and both parents died when she was only six years old. She married John Houston, son of Alexander and Janet (Quoyd) Houston when she was 19. They had three children, Mary Elizabeth, Sarah Jane, and John Alexander. John Houston must have died shortly after son John was born because she is referred to as "the widow Houston" in Thomas Brenton Smith's records of her second marriage to William Murray. She had four more children with William Murray and died at the age of 46 in Massachusetts.

Marriage information is published in Family Search, https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KMGC-B1W?from=lynx1UIV7&treeref=KDSX-WYN. There is no record of death that I have found but she must have lived long enough to have two children with John Houston. I would appreciate help setting records straight.
