When Jacob Collett was born in June 1824 in Georgia, his father, Greene, was 41 and his mother, Sarah, was 34. He had seven sons with Harriet Holbrook:
Between 1870 and 1880 the family moved to Alabama; Alexander, Millwil, and Isaac are living with them on the 1880 census. Harriet died between 1880 and 1900 and Jacob died after 1900, probably in Calhoun County, AL.[2]
