Jacob Coltrane was born in Rowan County, North Carolina on Dec. 15 1766 to William and Rachel Worthington Coltrane. Jacob was married first to Jane Frazier. After her death in 1829 he married Martha Millikan. His third and last wife was Patsey Brown.
Jacob's death was on March 10, 1844. His burial was at Marlboro Friends Meeting Cemetery in Sophia, Randolph County, North Carolina.
Note: Guilford County was formed from parts of Rowan and Orange counties in 1771. Later, New Market became part of Randolph County. NC.
