Blandina Condé, b: ca. 1555 in the Netherlands, very-likely also of French Huguenot noble lineage, in about 1575 married Nicholas Bayard. Their oldest son was born later that year in Norwich, Norfolk, England, where the family moved, no doubt because Nicholas received a pastorate there, likely of French Huguenot immigrants, who fled after the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre in 1572 sparked major anti-Protestant persecution in France. Norwich was known to have a French-speaking Huguenot Church in the 16th Century.[1][2]
