Biography

John Conkin was born June 19, 1856, in Tennesee, a son of Jonathan Jackson/Jacob "J.J. Conkin. By the time that John was 13 years of age, his family had moved to Missouri, where he is found living in Buchanan Township, Sullivan county, Missouri, with his parents and six siblings. [1]

On January 18, 1880, in Sullivan county, John Conkin married Missouri, Martha Williams was born February 14, 1861, a daughter of Francis Thomas Williams and Elizabeth (Bybee) Williams.Williams was born February 14, 1861, a daughter of Francis Thomas Williams and Elizabeth (Bybee) Williams. [2]

John and Martha are buried in the Unionville cemetery, in Putnam county, Missouri. [3]
