When William Conklin married Jannetje Brouwer, his marriage record stated he lived at WESTCHESTER County, NY. However, you William Conklin appears to be from Orange county, and then settled in Sullivan County. No mention of any connection to Westchester County, which is next door to Dutchess Co Ny which is where they married, and was Jannetje's home county.

Therefore, I believe the William Conklin who married Jannetje Brouwer March 16, 1771 is not the same man as above. The birth record of Nicholas Conklin states his both parents 1777.

Please be advised I have removed Nicholas Conklin https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Conklin-1697 as son of William Eli Conklin and an UNKNOWN WOMAN.

Nicholas has a birth record, and his mother is my relative, and his father is indeed a William Conklin. However, I can't see how this William Eli Conklin, with a marriage to Hester in 1774 could be the same man married to Jane Brouwer in March 16, 1771 RDC Dutchess Co NY. Jannetje Brouwer-1548.

Question: how did you previously connect Nicholas Conklin, named for his paternal Uncle Capt. Nicholas Brouwer, Jr of Dutchess Co NY to William Eli Conklin? How could William be married to 2 women at the same time? Let's work to get this correct. Thank you so much. Lilly Martin

Conklin-1786 and Conklin-7 appear to represent the same person because: Its ready for merge.
Conklin-1587 and Conklin-1786 are not ready to be merged because: Conflicting dates of birth. Conflicting place of birth. Conflicting death dates.
