1776 Project
Richard Conyers performed Patriotic Service in North Carolina in the American Revolution.

Richard was born in Bermuda about 1720. He died in North Carolina about 1792. He married Margaret Arundell about 1740.

Crudup Dension and Hilliard Families" by Ree Herring Hendrick may be helpful
to you. Microfiche of this book can be obtained from the Mormon Family Library
in Salt Lake City, UT, ordered through any Mormon Family History Library and
even some public libraries may have this book on microfiche.
Some information from this book, "THE CONYERS" states that "The Conyers of
the Carolinas, descend from a cadet branch, namely: the Conyers of Hornby
Castle, of Yorkshire."
Richard Conyers made a will in 1774.....last will made 7 JUN 1792....recorded
at Louisburg, NC (Franklin County).....the name is written in this will
Conyard, Cunyard and Conyers.
"Mary Conyers; married A. Wilks"
At the time of the publication of this book, the Conyers and Arrendal
connection to Bermuda had not been firmly established.
