We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.
Many thanks,

A couple points, I deleted the "Lived in Canada" sticker. Newfoundland wasn't part of Canada until 1949. I also deleted duplicated references. You added the same citation for birth and baptism. A citation should ideally only appear once in a bibliography---you can mention both birth and baptismal dates in relation to the same reference. If you need to refer to the same citation in different parts of the biography, you can use the named reference style (check out the description of how to use named reference here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources#Advanced_Sourcing)
But, thanks for working on these profiles!

I would like to change the year-of-birth of that James Stankley from 1803 to 1812 and change his mother from Ann Jackson to Margaret Dakers. Here's why. I have reasons to believe that:
– James Stankley (his father) was born in 1768. – He married Ann Jackson in 1792. – Their 3rd son, James, was born in 1803 and died 2 years later in 1805. – They had another son, also James, who was born in 1806 and died 3 weeks later. – His mother, Ann née Jackson died also in 1806. – James Stankley (the father) took a second wife, Margaret Dakers of Houghton le Spring, in 1807. – They had a son, James, in 1812, who went on to be an engineman and to marry and have kids. – James (the father) died in 1841 and Margaret died in 1847. – James (the surviving son) died by drowning off Whitley (Bay) in 1847.
So four James Stankleys!
James (the son) had a daughter Elizabeth, whose surname morphed from Stankley to Stanley (dropping the "k"), who is my great-grandmother. So James (the son) is my g-g-grandfather and James (the father) is my g-g-g-grandfather – assuming I've got it right.
You may disagree with the above. I will not make any changes if you don't want me to.
Best regards, Alan W

The United Kingdom Project has not been active since 2018 and we are now completely closing it down. We are removing all UK project badges. If you still have an interest in the UK and have not already joined another project, then you will need to join the England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales Project by answering one or more of their G2G posts. If your interest is in the British Isles and British Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories, then please contact me directly.

I’ve not heard back from you regarding the Scotland Project check-in. I hope you are well and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

It’s time for a Project check-in!
Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.
As a member of the Scotland Project, we'd love to have you join the Twisted Thistles in the upcoming Connect-a-thon the weekend of July 17 - July 20. If you'd like to join us and help to develop our ever-expanding Scottish tree, please register on the G2G post here and be sure to mention you'd like to be on the Twisted Thistles team for Scotland.
We also have our team Chat page posted here.
Happy Researching, Lori

Thank you for adding more to Reed Family project.

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
Many thanks,
Susie
Thank you so much for responding to our check-in. We are delighted that you wish to continue contributing to the Military and War Project. Below is a quick checklist for active members. The project leaders would like you to make sure you have done the following:
1) Checked the Project Page for ways to contribute.
2) Added MILITARY_AND_WAR to the tags you follow.
3) PMed the Project Coordinator with your email address to be added to the Google Group.
4) Bookmarked the Activity Feed to monitor the project watchlist.
Thank you!
Deb ~ Volunteer Coordinator
On behalf of the Military and War Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members.
First, we want to thank you for your past participation in the Military and War Project. We appreciate your desire to honor your ancestors for their service to their countries, or even for your service, wherever in the world. We hope that your membership has enhanced your WikiTree experience.
Please let me know, by commenting on my profile or sending a private message, if you are still active in the project, and if so, in which ways you have contributed to the main project or a sub-project within the last two months.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Deb ~ Volunteer Coordinator
I have awarded you the Military and War project badge as it is the umbrella project for all the wars and World War II does not have a unique badge.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the projects and the guidelines we have in place.
