DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mordecai by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mordecai:
No. Mordecai III wasn't married to Ms. Ironmonger -- Mordecai II was, and he died in 1718. It would seem. In any case, unlikely to be having kids in 1725, at 76 years of age. Had he lived. So we look at Mordecai III, who was born 1680, a more likely candidate. Agreed that Mordecai (1725-1767) is not a son of Mordecai II. I think he's already been rejected from that family, but I will keep looking and come up with a solution. Could be a nephew.
