I think this man is Mordecai Cooke IV. He is probably the son of Mordecai Cooke III and Frances (Ironmonger) Cooke.

No. Mordecai III wasn't married to Ms. Ironmonger -- Mordecai II was, and he died in 1718. It would seem. In any case, unlikely to be having kids in 1725, at 76 years of age. Had he lived. So we look at Mordecai III, who was born 1680, a more likely candidate. Agreed that Mordecai (1725-1767) is not a son of Mordecai II. I think he's already been rejected from that family, but I will keep looking and come up with a solution. Could be a nephew.

You may want to further research this - there is 76 years diff between Mordecai II & Mordecai III
