DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nathaniel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nathaniel:

Thanks for your efforts, Jack. It's been several years since I've looked at this, and it is special for it's both an ancestor who moved to Canada and a place (Weston) near where I lived for many years (Lincoln). I was a Lincoln Minute Man during that time, when there was no Weston company. We assumed they were loyalists at that time, and at least my ancestor was.

Yes, I keep hitting the Obadiah problem, and several slightly different records for a Sarah Parker with different children. Can you sort out which is which?

I can't do anything about the Family Search mess other than leave a comment, but the Sarahs have been sorted out correctly I believe.

Can anyone clear up the confusing situation with Nathaniel's marriage to Sarah in 1850? She seems to have been already married to Col. David Hobart and they'd had one child already. Then she gave birth two months after marrying Nathaniel. This is highly unusual in such an upstanding family, and considering Col. Hobart went on to serve in the Revolution and live another 50 years. Is there some data confusion here?

I don't have time to dig into this today, but the geography suggests that Sarah is not a Groton/Chelmsford Parker, but rather a Reading Parker. I seem to recall that the Sudbury Parkers descend from that line. From what you point out, and the genealogy of David Hobart, Sarah (Parker) Hobart pre-deceased Col. Hobart and thus would not have re-married. Furthermore, the marriage of Sarah (who married David Hobart) would seem to be a second marriage for her. It looks like there are two different Sarahs conflated there.

I see I am mistaken, the Sudbury Parkers are indeed from the Groton/Chelmsford line. There is one Sarah Parker, born in 1726 (there are only 6 Parker births in Sudbury - all to the same parents https://archive.org/details/vitalrecordsofsu00sudb/page/102/mode/2up?q=parker). She is not listed under deaths, there is a single Sarah Parker marriage - to Nathaniel Coolidge in 1750. https://archive.org/details/vitalrecordsofsu00sudb/page/244/mode/2up?q=parker.

Family search would appear to agree with that https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/about/LCDW-CKW Although they keep bringing up Obadiah instead of Nathaniel. According to FS, they had 26 children, Sarah's gestation period seems to be on the order of 3-4 months.

Not going to touch this without some agreement, but I suggest that is the Sarah Parker that married Nathaniel, now to have a look at the other Sarah.
