Hi Lisa, do you know if Ruby was adopted by Hardwick? I ask bc her name in the 1920 US Census is Ruby Cooper, but shows "daughter" to head of household. Would she have been listed as a step-daughter back then? Looking at the Census, I was confused bc I thought Cooper was her middle name; therefore, I couldn't figure out who Ruby Mozelle Hardwick was. Thanks for helping me learn the ins and outs.
