Sarah Coppins was born 7 Jul 1831 in St Pancras, Middlesex, England to Richard Coppins and Sarah (Suter) Coppins. She was christened at Old Church, Saint Pancras, London on 31 Jul 1831.[1][2]
In 1841 Sarah Coppins (age 12[10]) lived at Little Russell Street in St George Bloomsbury, Middlesex with her mother Sarah (45-49) and five brothers: Arthur (20-24), John (20-24), Richard (15-19), Henry (12), and George (4).[3]
In 1851 Sarah Coppins (age 20, Laundress) lived at Dears Place in Saint Pancras, Middlesex with her mother Sarah (56, Tailoress) and two brothers: Henry (22, Porter) and George (14, Errand Boy).[4]
Sarah Coppins married George Ashwood on 26 Mar 1852 in St Marylebone, Middlesex.[5] The marriage was registered in Marylebone, London in the first quarter of the year.[6]
Sarah and her family immigrated to Australia in 1853 - they sailed on the Ship Agricola and arrived 2 Mar 1853 in Brisbane.
Sarah Ashwood passed away on 19 Oct 1871 in Grafton, New South Wales, Australia.
