Birth
Sophia Catherine Corkum was born about 1830 in Chester, Nova Scotia, daughter of Johannes Corkum (1792–1845) and Martha Etter (1795– ).
Sibling
Sophia had a brother, Joseph Etter Corkum (June 08, 1815 – 1907).
Marriage
Sophia (20) married Jacob Barkhouse (22) (born April 26, 1829 in Canada) on December 25, 1851 in Chester, Lunenburg County, Canada.[1]
