Biography
Nicolas Cormier was born 4 Apr 1764. He was the son of Pierre Cormier and Élizabeth Chiasson. He was baptized at birth by Paul Chiasson at Isle St Jean. Ceremonies took place 6 Sep 1764 at Notre Dame des Ardeliers Church, Miquelon. His godparents were Paul Hebert and Rosalie Gotreau.[1]
He married Rosalie Hébert, daughter of Charles Hébert and Rosalie Vigneau, before 1793, the year when their first child was born. Between 1793 and about 1820 they had 15 children, all born at L'Île-du-Havre-Aubert.[2]
