Henry Curwen MP is Notable.



Sir Henry Curwen was the first son of Sir Thomas Curwen of Workington and Agnes Strickland.[1][2][3][4]

He was mentioned in his father Thomas’ will of 1543.[5]

In 1568 Mary, Queen of Scots took refuge with Sir Henry at Workington.[6]

Marriage

Henry was initially contracted to marry Agnes Wharton, but the deal fell through.[7]
