David was born in 1796. He relocated to Belmont in 1808.
On 3 March 1814 he enlisted to serve in the War of 1812 to serve as a substitute for Peter Alexander.[1] He served as a private in Collier's Regiment of Ohio Militia.[2] He was discharged on 15 August 1814.[1]
In 1817 he married Nancy Smith.[1] He passed away in 1876.[1]
