Ione Smith, the fourth child of W Joel Smith and Ione Allen Smith (Nov 7, 1861-Jul 29, 1887) was married to Thomas Perrin Cothran on Jan 6, 1886. He was a son of Judge James S Cothran and himself became an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of South Carolina. They had no children.
