Know all men by these present that I Henry Cotterell of the state and district aforesaid for the consideration of one hundred pounds sterling to me in hand placed by Henry Cotterell Junior of the aforesaid state and district have given, granted, bargained and sold and by these present do give , grant, bargain and sell unto the said Henry Cotterell Junior a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres (more or less) situated on Cito Creek a branch of Sandy River being part of a grant of land originally granted to Benjamin Carter and by conveyances sold from John Carter to Henry Cotterell the said tract of one hundred acres more or less to be made out of said original tract which contains one hundred and fifty acres .
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighth Day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred

An Inventory of what of my property land and tenements I do give and grant jointly to my two sons Viz. Joshua and John Cotterell by a deed of gift bearing even date with this inventory and given under my own hand, Viz. one hundred and fifty acres of land be the same more or less being all the land and tenements whereon I now live and which I do possess being the balance of all my claim which I do not convey to my son Henry Cottrell bounding on lands of Richard Atteberry, Henry Cotterell Junior and Thomas O Neal and situate as is specified in the above mentioned deed of gift, to be divided equally between the said Joshua and John Cotterell. Given under my hand and delivered to the said Joshua and John Cotterell this twenty eighth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred.

To all people to whom these present shall come I Henry Cotterell of the state of South Carolina and Chester District planter for and in consideration of the love good will and affection which I have and do bear towards my three sons Viz. Nathan Joshua and John Cotterell of the aforesaid state and district have given and granted and by these present do fully give and grant unto the said Nathan Joshua and John Cotterell their due Executors and administrators all and sundry my goods and chattels now being in my possession or elsewhere my lawful claim consisting of 150 acres of land being the tract whereon I now live with all the appurtenances to the said premises belonging or anywise incident thereto the same being situate in the aforesaid district on a branch of Sandy River known by the name of Cito Creek with all my living stock of creatures consisting of Horses Cattle Hogs and so forth with all my household furniture and tools of agriculture of all my corn and tobacco. I also give and grant the whole of what is on my premises before mentioned of which before the signing of these present I have delivered them the said Nathan Joshua and John Cotterell an inventory signed with my own hand and being even date . To have and to hold all the said goods and chattels lands and premises to them the said Nathan Joshua and John Cotterell their due executors and administrators from hence forth as their own property absolutely without any consideration in__?__ whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred.
