Nellie (Count) Farmery was born in Yorkshire, England.

Nellie was born on 2 February 1906. Her parents were George Count and Emily Gyte.[1] Nellie was christened on 6 May 1906 at St Mary's Church, Wombwell.[2][3]

Nellie married Horace Farmery in 1930 in Barnsley Registration District, Yorkshire.[4] They had four children, Harry, Jack, Jenny and Linda.

Nellie passed away on 23 February 1999. The following Obituary appeared in the Barnsley Chronicle March 1999,[5]

The death occurred on February 23 in Barnsley General Hospital, of Mrs Nellie Farmery, aged 93, a resident of Parklands Nursing Home since December last year. Interment was at Wombwell Cemetery on Monday following a service at Summer Lane Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. John Harris. Mrs Farmery nee Count was born in Wombwell and was the eldest daughter of a family of 12 children of Mr and Mrs George Spencer Count. She atteded Kings Road School and on leaving school went into service for a short time, returning to look after the family when her mother died. She enjoyed knitting and crochet in her younger days and used to attend the Salvation Army Home League meetings. She was formally of George Square, Rose Grove and Milton Grove. A widow, her husband Horace Farmery a miner a Cortonwood colliery died in 1967. She leaves sons Harry and Jack, daughters Jenny and Linda, grandchildren Martin, Jayne, Gary, John and Julie and great granddaughter Emma Danielle. She is survived by her sister Ruth and brothers Charles and Horace. Funeral arrangements were by Messrs G M Charlesworth and Son.
